So this month has just begun, and already everyone is pumped for Valentine’s Day- literally the worst holiday of all time. Boys have been shopping for girls at the shop- anxious about expectations and potential dashed hopes- I am pretty much bah humbugging the whole event. Despite my general grumpiness, I can’t help but secretly believe that every once in a while, life can truly surprise you- water can run uphill- and the lion can lie down with the lamb (totally unintentional Twilight reference, please forgive me). Exhibit A is the incredible story of three cheetahs playing with a tiny antelope. Instead of devouring him, as one would imagine, they affectionately lick and play with him- witness the miracle. (I’m actually blushing as I write this- but sometimes complete sentimentality is in order)

If your heart feels worn out like an old shoe- be sure to wear hot pink sox to cheer yourself up. Don’t worry, you are not alone.

It might be a little obvious, but I just love these two-
I just started working on a new jewelry collaboration with Brass and Bone designer, Jessica Seaton. Get ready for raw opals set in brass, tourmalines, rough pyrite, and black diamonds. The collection should launch later this season- so excited! You will be the first to see it!

Every so often I see a collection that completely renews my enthusiasm for fashion- when I saw these photos of the Dior pre-fall collection I literally let out a shreek! I have been obsessed with 1940’s military jackets lately- we even have some at the shop right now. But seriously- this collection incorporates everything I love- underwear, military, boots with buckles, flapper dresses, and long bias cut gowns. I want the everything! It’s so fancy and punk and just breathtaking. I was only going to post a few pictures, but I couldn’t leave anything out. Behold my fall blue moon dream…..
